I would highly recommend your course to others.  Question for you, I sent in my application to the secretary of state, but I believe you said there was a way to look up your license # so you can order supplies, can you refresh my memory on how to do this?  Thank you.

Good morning.
 I took the exam on August 27 and received my passed notification this past Saturday.  I had a good feeling about the exam but was still nervous when I saw the envelope from the Department of State.  (LOL)
I have to tell you, your online course nailed the content.  The actual test questions were worded differently so I had to really think about what they were asking on a few of them but I knew so many answers immediately.

Took Test After Taking This Course

August 6, 2019 in NYC Today. I took the test. As soon as they said open the test booklet I went at it. This is the 2nd time I took this this. The 1st time I just read the NYS DOS Book took the test. I didn’t pass. I purchase this program on August 2, 2019 Study the whole program all the up until the test time. The question was different but it took me less than a minute to answer each. I literally was out of the test site less than 20 minutes. August 14, 2019 I called NYS Division of License they told me I passed. This course is the truth.

Hi Mike! 
I just want to say thank you for the excellent training. It worked! I studied after the the class on Thursday, and passed the test on Friday. I just received my notice, and will be sending my application in this week. I can’t wait to get started. The plan is to start a mobile notary side business (I currently work f/r as an editor in the city, but  plan on freelancing as editor/proofreader starting in August so this will be another stream of income), and eventually become a signing agent. You offer classes for that as well, so you will definitely be seeing me again for that!

Once I receive my license (I think you said in 2 weeks I can look it up and print the certificate—what was that link again?) I will sign up for the membership and your newsletter, and will definitely want to be included in your mobile notary listing. I will also have some questions about starting that business—I’m assuming I will need a license and will need to purchase basic professional liability insurance as well. So many ducks to line up! 

In the meantime, I would like to request access to your online class (just to go over a few things that I noticed I was shaky on during the test and to bone up before I actually start working, since there will be a bit of a time lag.

Also, I had a question (I think I already know the answer, but haven’t been able to find confirmation for it): is an attestation clause considered an acknowledgment
or an affadavit? I suspect it is an affadavit, but like I said, haven’t been able to find a clear answer on that. I’m also assuming this goes for a power of atty doc.

Dear Mike, I was notarizing a woman's form and she asked me how I got my license, so I referred her to your website and realized that I never left a review. Thank you so much for providing such a convenient way to learn about notary public. I brought your online class on January 14th and took my notary exam in Manhattan on January 22nd. A week and a day. I am so thankful for your class. I finished my exam in 23 minutes and honestly I was so amazed on hope I just knew the answer to everything. There was two terms that I didn't know the definition to. It took about 2 months to finally get my registration number and to order my stamp and seal (I know I don't need it but I wanted it); but I just wanted to say thank you so much for your awesome course. I meant to reach out before, but was extremely business.  Thanks for taking the time to explain  Notary Public lingo in details.  I was at the class on Friday 2/15 at the hotel in Elmsford.  I wrote the exam last Tuesday 2/19, I am waiting the results.  I took the exam in the city, it was a bit more relaxed than I expected and the actual test was pretty simple and straight forward.  I will confirm with you when I receive the results.

Hi Mike,

I’ve passed the test (I was the first one out). Just to clarify regarding a question I asked you a few weeks ago, the style of questions on the actual exam were MUCH closer to how you worded them than the books I took out of the library, which had questions that had nothing to do with being a notary and, I feel, were worded unnecessarily complicated. I almost gave up taking the test believing it would be written in 18th century legalese. Thank you so much for offering this course. You made it very easy to pass. Your videos were so helpful and I have to agree that making sure to go over all of the questions every day, until the exam, was great advice.

 I hope you don’t mind if I have questions throughout this learning process. For one, if someone approaches me for an acknowledgment without the language already included, I have to hand write it all out? Or, is there a better way to include that? Is it legal to have the wordy acknowledgment prepared on the computer, and print and attach it to the notarized instrument?

Hi Mike,
I wanted to touch base with you after taking the exam and let you know that I did finish the exam in 20 minutes.
For now, I am going to forget about waiting for the slip to come in the mail.   I studied hard and hope that the time will result in a P. I did see one other student from Friday, 6/22 class.  Before the test started, we were told that the turnout for the exam was the largest they had seen in a long time. There were so many people and the young man sitting next to me was looking at my answer sheet. He changed a few answers on his sheet before I realized what he was doing. Once I did notice I turned my paper over and he just looked around the room.

I wanted to let our class instructor Mike Brown know that on Friday, October 6th, I receive my PASSED exam notification from NYS.  I felt confident when I left the test after going over the materials from the class and my notes.  In fact, I believe I was the 3rd one to finish the test in about 20 minutes, with me going over the test again.  Mike was absolutely right – “you will pass the exam” is what I remember him saying while a few of us “old timers” were probably looking like deer caught in headlights!  The class was great and well worth it.
