New York Notary Public Licensing classes and seminars are offered to better prepare you to sit for and pass the NYS Notary Public Licensing exam. The exam has an estimated 60% failure rate with no prep course beforehand...whereas our students repeat the class due to failure at less than a 1% failure rate! How to become a Notary Public? Take a NY Notary class online or in person. It's a no-brainer. Please see this Notary Public NY video on WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU and what it will mean for your Employers as well!
Don't let the ugly statistics of people failing all the time discourage you! They fail because they took bad courses from slick internet marketers looking to make a quick buck that are not really notary instructors! The other people who fail try to learn the law on their own and find it takes 20 times as long as getting this course created by Mike Brown, who has taught Notary Licensing Law for 14 years and has had over 20,000 students. Imagine the difference from these other inferior marketing scams online. Mike's students pass every day the first time and he has the unsolicited student testimonials to prove it!
Currently the online notary licensing course is available virtually anywhere in New York State where you reside or work. In fact you could take it while you are on vacation in the Caribbean! You can access a PC, Laptop, tablet or smartphone. The access is hosted on a cloud 24/7. You get access for a full 30 days once you begin by logging in. It is possible to do it in 1 day! There are no excuses. If you can not pass with this cutting-edge technology it is because you were not using it!
Please do not become afraid when I tell you this. People fail the N.Y.S. Notary Public test at a rate of 65 % in New York State. No worries here! Please don't worry or panic. Keep reading. Our students only repeat our classes at a rate of less than 1 %. That is our valid sample taken since 2002 having had over 20,000+ students. We learned from our own student interviews that they previously failed because they were under the misconception that it would be common sense questions and they could squeeze through like a driver's exam. The other reason they failed before coming to our NY Notary classes is they took a course taught by someone that honestly was simply not teaching the Notary Public exam preparation course properly.
Learning how to become a Notary Public in NY ... a Notary Public application candidate finds out he or she must be 18 years old and have no special education. You must pass this fast, one-hour, 40 multiple choice question exams by getting a score of 70 %. Our students finish in an average of 15-20 minutes and less than 1 % repeat! Taking this exam will improve your resume if you are ever in a job hunt because ... every office needs a Notary Public ... doesn't yours? Many people call us asking, "How do you become a Notary?", then they ask is there a separate license required to become a Mobile Notary or a Traveling Notary? The answer is No. When you become a Notary Public New York State you are only allowed to charge the $2.00 notary fee for affidavits (Jurats) and Acknowledgements however...when you provide traveling services using your own time, transportation and expenses you can charge extra service fees that are not covered or regulated under the NYS Notary Public License Law. These reasonable fees can add up to hundreds in extra income!
What are the notary fees that you can charge for traveling to somebody like an office or to a hospital to see an attorney's client? It is really up to you to figure out what the free market will bear and what it is worth to you. Some Notary Publics charge a flat fee to travel in their territory. The fee can be $150. Some charge an hourly rate with mileage, tolls, etc.
Once you have had a notary class and training and pass the exam you will get an application. This contains your oath of office. You will be sworn in for 4 years as a New York State Notary Public. After that you can purchase a notary stamp, a seal and other supplies. You can then travel anywhere and get paid extra for the next 4 years until it is time to renew your commission/license. The state charges $60 at renewal time for the next 4 years Notary License Certification. Now you know how to become a Notary and travel as a mobile Notary Public NY!

It is simply wise to enroll in a New Your Notary Public Association class here for the following reasons:
It absolutely is not hard to qualify as a New York State licensed Notary Public. Here are the general requirements. You tell me if these are tough standards as follows:
So I think you are starting to get the point. The standards are not that high if you can be a non-resident, convicted felon who is also a high school drop-out.
Obviously this is not going to be too tough of a standard to meet for just about anyone reading this. YES...more people fail the exam than pass it...however we think it is just like the driver's license exam so it is easier than getting a driver's license because there is no road test. Furthermore you get one hour to answer just 40 multiple choice questions. Our students finish it in about 15-20 minutes on average.
Less than 1% repeat our classes due to failure and anyone who does still fail (less than 1 out of 100) gets a free class again until they pass! We get many notary license law students that failed when they took a cheapo class on-line from a bad provider who is really just an internet marketer. These courses are approved by the New York State Notary association. Anyone who gets licensed here gets FREE lifetime membership in the association.
